Dungeon Master’s Toolset

Dungeon Master’s Toolset

Okay! I have finished a portion of the clock module of my new application. The Dungeon Master’s Toolset or DMT for short (this is a working title so this may change). So far it is just the clock but it can keep track of time as a game of D&D is played. Currently, it tracks 24 hour days, 30 day months, 12 month years. I have yet to implement the 5 spare days at the end of the year. It…

DM app thing!

DM app thing!

I started work on an app for DMs of D&D campaigns. It is in its infancy now, but I have heaps of features lined up to implement and I’ll be posting it up here as progress continues. For the moment it is just a clock that you add time to as you adventure. But using that clock you will be able to keep a log, set alarms for events, keep track of status effects and so forth. I’ll keep working…

Website Woes

Website Woes

I’ve been having some trouble with my website and my host, mostly due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to hosting so I did things in the wrong order and ended up with an inoperable website. I have fixed that but it (and other aspects of my life) have taken time away from my creative work and my streaming. I will be doing everything I plan but now in a fortnightly capacity. I should be able to get…

Videos!

Videos!

I have started streaming on twitch and I’m uploading the videos to Youtube afterward. My single player series is very unedited and I might make it fancier next time, but with my multiplayer shenanigans I am just keeping the best bits, and adding a little bit of flavor. I knew it was going to be a learning experience but holy crap I had no idea about the amount of stuff I’d have to do to get it all looking good….

Portfolio System

Portfolio System

So, I’m trying to find a good portfolio system for WordPress, it has not been easy. But I have been working on developing a story that will be put into comic format at least. The timeline is almost done Then I’ll start working on the planing of panels and organising it into chapters if it needs to be. It shouldnt be too long, so if it does need to be then there will probably only be two or three at…

Got a little slack

Got a little slack

Right, so I missed an update. But that is okay, I have been working and I have a few things I want to try and I’ll throw them up here when I’m done. In the mean time here is the project I submitted for my last assessment. Not completely happy with it but I’m a lazy perfectionist, and I achieved a High Distinction for it so it must be okay. This is a post card advertising a fictitious exhibition on…

Some Screenshots! Finally!

Some Screenshots! Finally!

So I have finally taken some screenshots from the MiniVoid Game. Still working on the flight controls, which are constantly falling apart and I don’t know why, and when that is stable enough I’ll be looking at an inventory or perhaps changing ships and stats. But for now here are two screenshots that show just how little is in this game.

Code is painful.

Code is painful.

I have been having problems with the flight mechanics recently. I get it working nicely and everything plays well, but then I change something to do with the interface and the flight controls go nutso again. The odd thing is they have nothing to do with each other. I’ll keep working until I have figured it out.

I have just activated the Portfolio option. I will use this primarily for professional purposes but I will allow public read access because why not? Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think about my various projects!

On Fire!

On Fire!

I was able to roll over a bunch of items on my To Do list. I got the Central HUB of the game world to be instantiated on server creation, fixed a physics issue with the crafts (flight was thus far done using translation and no physics so collisions didn’t really work), made the craft the player is flying interchangeable, and finalized the basic networking so now it looks fairly decent when playing with others. I’ll throw up some screenshots…
